Which X5 models have AdBlue?

The G05 X5 (2018 onwards) with a diesel engine has AdBlue – this covers the xDrive30d and xDrive40d. The earlier F15 X5 (2013 to 2018) also has AdBlue on the xDrive30d and xDrive40d variants. Both generations use an SCR/DEF system with a blue filler cap, usually found behind the fuel flap. If your X5 is showing an AdBlue warning, it has the system fitted. Call us before booking and we will confirm your exact variant and year.

What the delete involves

The delete is carried out through the OBD port using software – no parts are removed from the vehicle. We update the ECU to switch off the AdBlue system entirely. All warning lights and fault codes are cleared. Your X5 will no longer count down miles or lock you out over AdBlue. Most X5 jobs are completed in 60 to 90 minutes at your location. One visit, no return trips.

Mobile service across the North West

We cover Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire. We come to your home, driveway, workplace or car park – wherever the vehicle is. The price is £330 all in. There are no hidden charges. We run a free diagnostic before any work starts, and we are insured to £2 million.

FAQs

Does my BMW X5 have AdBlue?
Most diesel X5s built from 2013 onwards have AdBlue. If you can see a blue filler cap behind the fuel flap, or if your dashboard is showing an AdBlue warning, the system is fitted. Call us and we can confirm from your registration.
Which X5 years have AdBlue?
The F15 X5 (2013 to 2018) has AdBlue on the xDrive30d and xDrive40d. The G05 X5 (2018 onwards) also has AdBlue on diesel variants. Earlier X5 models – E53 and E70 – do not have AdBlue.
Is BMW X5 AdBlue delete permanent?
Yes. The delete is a permanent software change to the ECU. The system will not reactivate, and your X5 will not ask for AdBlue again.
How much does BMW X5 AdBlue delete cost?
The price is £330, including a free diagnostic. That covers the full job, carried out at your location. No call-out fee, no extras. For off-road and export use only. AdBlue delete is not for use on UK public roads.
