Which Discovery models have AdBlue?
The Discovery 5 (L462), built from 2017 onwards, has AdBlue on diesel variants from around 2018. This covers the SD4 (2.0 Ingenium, 240ps) and SDV6 (3.0, 306ps) engines in Euro 6d spec. The blue AdBlue filler cap sits inside the fuel flap. The Discovery Sport (L550) diesel also has AdBlue on the 2.0 SD4 200 and 204 variants from 2017 onwards. The earlier Discovery 4 (L319) does not have AdBlue and does not need this service. Call us to confirm your L462 variant and year before booking.
What the delete involves
We connect to your Discovery via the OBD port and update the ECU in software. No parts are removed. The AdBlue system is disabled permanently: warning lights clear, the countdown timer is gone, and the vehicle will not go into lockout. We do not touch the tank or pump. Most Discovery deletes are completed in 60 to 90 minutes at your location. A free diagnostic is carried out before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
