Which X5 models have AdBlue?
The G05 X5 (2018 onwards) with a diesel engine has AdBlue – this covers the xDrive30d and xDrive40d. The earlier F15 X5 (2013 to 2018) also has AdBlue on the xDrive30d and xDrive40d variants. Both generations use an SCR/DEF system with a blue filler cap, usually found behind the fuel flap. If your X5 is showing an AdBlue warning, it has the system fitted. What the delete involves
The delete is carried out through the OBD port using software – no parts are removed from the vehicle. We update the ECU to switch off the AdBlue system entirely.
