Which GLE models have AdBlue?
The W166 GLE ran from 2015 to 2019. Diesel variants from around 2016 onwards carry the BlueTEC system, which uses AdBlue. The W167 GLE (2019 to present) has AdBlue across all diesel variants. The GLE 300d, 350d and 400d use the OM654 and OM656 engines, both of which require DEF fluid. The Coupe (C167) diesel shares the same drivetrain and the same AdBlue setup. The blue DEF filler cap sits inside the fuel flap. If your GLE is a diesel W166 from 2016 or any W167 model, it almost certainly has AdBlue. Call to confirm your chassis and build date.
What the delete involves
Everything is done through the OBD port. No parts are removed from the vehicle. The ECU is updated to disable the AdBlue system completely. Warning lights go off, the countdown timer is cleared and the lockout risk is gone. Your GLE will not ask for AdBlue again. Most GLE deletes take 60 to 90 minutes at your chosen location.
