Which Transporter models have AdBlue?
The T6 Transporter (2015 to 2019) has AdBlue on higher-output 2.0 TDI variants built from around 2018 in Euro 6d spec. The T6.1 (2019 onwards) has AdBlue across most 2.0 TDI variants, including the 150ps and 199ps engines. This covers panel vans, Kombi, Caravelle and California models. The AdBlue filler is located in the engine bay, not next to the fuel cap. The T5 Transporter (pre-2015) does not have AdBlue. If you are unsure which engine code or build date you have, call us before booking and we will confirm whether your van is affected.
What the delete involves
The delete is software-based and carried out through the OBD port. No parts are removed. The ECU is updated to disable the AdBlue system entirely. Once complete, all warning lights are off, the countdown timer is gone and the van will not lock you out. There is no ongoing maintenance, no fluid to top up and no fault codes to chase. Most Transporter deletes are completed in 60 to 90 minutes at your location.
