What AdBlue removal involves
AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid used by the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system fitted to most diesel vehicles built after around 2015. When the system faults – whether through a failed sensor, a contaminated tank, or a unit that simply stops working – the vehicle will count down to a no-start condition. At that point, driving it at all becomes a problem.
The removal process disables the SCR system at ECU level. No hardware is cut out. We connect to the OBD diagnostic port, carry out a software update to the engine management system, and the vehicle no longer requires AdBlue. Warning lights clear, the countdown stops, and the fault codes go away.
The fix is permanent. You will not need to top up AdBlue again.
