Which Mercedes models have AdBlue?
Mercedes fitted AdBlue systems, marketed as BlueTEC, to most diesel models from around 2016 onwards. Affected vehicles include the C Class (W205, W206), E Class (W213), S Class (W222, W223), GLC (X253, X254), GLE (W166, W167) and GLS. The commercial range is also affected: Sprinter (907 and 910 series), Vito (W447) and Metris. Most vehicles running the OM651 or OM654 engine will have a blue DEF filler near the fuel cap. Not sure whether yours is affected? Call us and we will confirm your specific model.
What the delete involves
The delete is carried out entirely through the OBD port. No parts are removed. We update the ECU so the vehicle no longer calls for AdBlue fluid. Warning lights are cleared, the countdown timer is gone and there is no risk of the engine locking out. Your Mercedes is left running as normal. Most deletes take 60 to 90 minutes, completed at your location without any need to visit a garage.
