Which Sprinter models have AdBlue?

The 907 and 910 series Sprinter (2018 onwards) has AdBlue on all diesel variants. This covers the Sprinter 211, 214, 216, 311, 314, 316, 411, 414, 516 and 519 CDI with the OM651 and OM642 engines. The Sprinter is one of the most common AdBlue-equipped commercial vehicles we work on. The AdBlue filler sits next to the diesel fuel cap, usually marked with a blue cap. Earlier VS30 Sprinters (2006 to 2018) may also carry AdBlue on the BlueTEC variants. If you are unsure about your chassis code, call us and we will confirm before booking.

What the delete involves

The delete is done through the OBD port – software only, no parts removed. We update the ECU to disable the AdBlue system completely. Warning lights go off, the countdown disappears, and there is no risk of the vehicle locking out. The van looks and drives exactly as before. Most Sprinter operators come to us as a preventative measure before the system causes downtime. Fleet operators running high-mileage 907 and 910 series vans are our most common booking. The job typically takes 60 to 90 minutes and is completed at your depot, yard or car park.

Does my Mercedes Sprinter have AdBlue?
If your Sprinter is a 907 or 910 series (2018 onwards), it has AdBlue on all diesel variants. Earlier VS30 BlueTEC models may also carry it. The quickest way to check is the blue-capped filler next to the diesel cap. Call us with your chassis code and we will confirm before you book.
Can the Sprinter lock out over AdBlue?
Yes. If the AdBlue tank runs dry or the system develops a fault, the Sprinter counts down to a point where it will not restart. Many fleet operators book a delete before this happens to avoid unexpected downtime.
Is Sprinter AdBlue delete permanent?
Yes. Once the ECU is updated, the AdBlue system is permanently disabled. No further AdBlue fluid is required and the warning lights will not return.
