Which Amarok models have AdBlue?

The first generation VW Amarok (2H, 2010-2022) has AdBlue on the V6 TDI 3.0 variants: the 224ps and 258ps engines in Euro 6d spec. Some later 2.0 TDI four-cylinder variants may also run AdBlue depending on build date and market spec. The second generation Amarok (NF, 2022 onwards, co-developed with Ford) has AdBlue across the full diesel range. The filler point is typically alongside the diesel cap or inside the engine bay. If you are not sure which generation or engine code you have, give us a call before booking and we will confirm it for you.

What the delete involves

The delete is done through the OBD port: no parts are removed. We update the ECU to disable the AdBlue system entirely. All warning lights are cleared, the countdown timer is gone, and the vehicle will not go into lockout. Most Amarok deletes are completed in 60 to 90 minutes at your location. We run a free diagnostic first so you know exactly what we are dealing with before any work begins.

FAQs

Does my VW Amarok have AdBlue?
Not all Amaroks have AdBlue. The V6 TDI 3.0 (224ps and 258ps) in Euro 6d spec definitely does. Some later 2.0 TDI variants do too. If you are seeing an AdBlue warning light or a countdown on the dash, your Amarok has it. Call us and we can confirm from your reg.
Which Amarok years have AdBlue?
First generation Amaroks (2H, 2010-2022) gained AdBlue on V6 variants as Euro 6d rules came in, typically from around 2018-2019 onwards. The second generation Amarok (NF, 2022+) has AdBlue across all diesel variants from launch.
Is VW Amarok AdBlue delete permanent?
Yes. Once the ECU is updated, the AdBlue system is disabled. The warning lights will not return and the vehicle will not require AdBlue fluid going forward.
How much does Amarok AdBlue delete cost?
£330 all in. No hidden charges. The free diagnostic is included in that price. For off-road and export use only.
