Which Audi A8 models have AdBlue?
The D5 Audi A8 (2018 onwards) has AdBlue fitted across all diesel variants. This includes the 50 TDI (3.0 V6, 286 ps) and the 55 TDI (3.0 V6, 286 ps, mild hybrid), along with the A8 L long-wheelbase version. All use a selective catalytic reduction system, with the blue DEF filler cap located inside the fuel flap. Earlier D4 A8 models (2010 to 2017) may have AdBlue on the 3.0 TDI quattro in Euro 6 specification, though not all do. If you are unsure about your production date, call us to confirm before booking.
What the delete involves
The delete is carried out entirely through the OBD port at your location. No parts are removed from the vehicle. We connect to the ECU and update the software to switch off the AdBlue system permanently, removing all warning lights, fault codes and countdown timers in a single session. Once the work is done, the car will not prompt you to refill AdBlue and cannot enter lockout mode. There is nothing visible to indicate the work has been carried out.
